Years Performing: Since I was 14

Music Experience: I suppose you could say that I have been performing professionally since I was 14 years old. In high school, I played in various rock bands and I also had a regular gig at Rosy Tomorrows, a piano bar in Danbury, CT. I also served as music director for an outdoor musical theater company. In college and before law school, I've played in country bands in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

From 1999 to about 2002, I played in a Detroit rock cover band--Sgt. Rock playing mostly covers. I became quite proficient at authentic boogie-woogie piano in the likes of Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Meade "Lux" Lewis. In 2002, I traveled to Memphis TN and performed with Jerry Lee Lewis' back-up band. I actually entered and won 3rd place in Jerry Lee Lewis sound and play-alike contest. The trophy sits in my office today.

In 2006, I joined Kensington Community Church where I served as a musician, band leader and, until recently, music team director for the Lake Orion Campus. And during the summer of 2006, I won 1st prize in the Piano Cutting Contest at the Greenfield Village Ragtime Festival. As I said, I'm an avid boogie-woogie player and I dabble in ragtime as well. I suppose I'm old school all the way!!

Hobbies: Practicing, practicing and more practicing; reading; legal research.
